Rental Terms and Conditions

Price

Rates include insurance (subject to the damage liability/excess of the vehicle), VAT, breakdown cover & unlimited miles (unless otherwise stated) .

Driver Age

All drivers must be aged between 21 and 75 inclusive. Drivers aged 21-24 may only rent vehicles up to a Medium car category, and Economy vans. An additional daily charge may apply to drivers aged 21-24 and 70-75 inclusive, please check with the renting branch prior to collection.

Insurance

Insurance is subject to a damage liability/excess which varies according to vehicle size.
Damage liability/excess reduction may be available at an additional cost, please ask the renting branch prior to collection.
Glass and tyre protection cover may also be available please check with the renting branch prior to collection.
Damage liability waiver may be withdrawn at any time (for example, due to extreme weather conditions) at the discretion of www.fleet4hire.co.uk  Management.

Fuel Policy

Customers are advised that they are responsible for all fuel used and should return the vehicle with the same fuel level as that with which it was supplied. Prepaid fuel may be available please check with the renting branch prior to collection.

Payment

Payment is required by credit card (Visa, Mastercard) or UK debit card. Cash, cheque, and pre-paid credit cards are not accepted. The credit or debit card presented at the start of the hire must always be in the name of the main driver.

Overseas hires

Prices quoted are for use in mainland UK only. Additional charges will apply for overseas use and mileage restrictions will apply.

Driving Licences & history

Anyone who will be driving the rental vehicle must present a valid driving licence, in person, at the time of collection. No copies of licences will be accepted. Customers with Photocard Licences are reminded they need to present both the paper counterpart and the photocard of the licence.
Drivers aged between 25-75 must have held a full driving licence for at least 12 months. Any endorsements which appear on the Licence should be notified to the renting branch for authorisation at the time of booking.
Drivers aged 21-24 must have held a licence for at least 24 months and be free of endorsements.
Minibus rental is only available to renters who have held category D1 on their licence for at least 2 years.

Rental Payment Terms

When you book online you accept the conditions set out below:
The renting location will do its best to have the vehicle which is the subject of a confirmed reservation available on the day and at the time you have requested. If you decide to cancel your reservation or do not arrive to collect your reserved vehicle on the day and at the time you have reserved it, charges may be made and these are explained in these Rental terms.
Please read this carefully. If there is anything you do not understand or do not agree with, please ask any member of staff at your renting location.

Reservations confirmed on-line

By booking online and accepting these Terms & Conditions you consent to www.fleet4hire.co.uk  applying charges to your credit or debit card account. Your initial rental charges, deposit and any possible additional rental costs are paid for at the time of collection. When your booking is confirmed www.fleet4hire.co.uk  guarantees to have the vehicle you reserve or a higher classed vehicle available at the time and date you request.
Please note below the policy regarding cancellations or if you do not arrive to collect your rental vehicle (No Show).
When you collect your rental vehicle you will be required to present a credit or debit card, which will be charged as follows:-

Payment by credit/debit card

if you choose to pay by credit card (Mastercard, Visa) your card will be charged for the rental, the additional charges agreed to, plus the further amount of deposit confirmed by the renting branch at the time of booking. When you return the vehicle at the end of the hire period, the total charges, including any charges for fuel, damage, extended rental etc will be calculated, and any overpayment/deposit will be refunded back to your card. This may take up to 10 days to appear in your account, depending on your card issuing bank.
In the event that you return the vehicle earlier than the date originally specified on the agreement, no refund will be made.
If you wish to return the vehicle after the time originally specified, you should contact the branch to agree this. You will be charged for every day or part-day you have the vehicle after the original agreed date and time at the rate specified on the rental agreement when you collect the vehicle.

Reservations confirmed off-line by the renting location

It may not be possible to confirm your reservation immediately on line if the vehicle class of your choice is in high demand. The renting location will contact you as soon as they are able to confirm your reservation, or to offer you an alternative vehicle and may request further personal details from you, including driving license details and insurance history together with your credit card details in order to confirm the hire.
When you collect your rental vehicle you must present a credit or debit card, which will be charged as follows:-

Cancellations

Reservations made via the www.fleet4hire.co.uk web site are at special rates which reflect our Cancellation and No-show policies.

Reservations confirmed on-line

If you cancel your reservation more than 7 days in advance of the rental start date, a full refund will be given. If you cancel your reservation less than 7 days before the rental start date, a refund less an administration fee of £30 (or the rental cost if this is less) will be given. Cancellations must be made with the renting location and confirmation will be emailed to you - please retain this for your records.

Reservations confirmed off line by the renting location

You may cancel your reservation at any time up to 7 days before the check-out time without charge. Cancellation should be made direct with the renting location (by telephone or email) and confirmation will be emailed to you - please retain this for your records.
If you cancel after this time, the renting location may charge your credit card in accordance with the agreement made at the time of confirmation, subject to a maximum amount equal to the value of the hire.

If you do not arrive to collect your vehicle (no show)

Reservations confirmed on-line

Unless you have cancelled your reservation in accordance with the above terms, if you do not collect your vehicle at the time specified on the confirmation e-mail, no refund will be made.

Reservations confirmed off-line by the renting location

If you do not arrive to collect your vehicle at the time specified in the Reservation confirmation, and you do not let the renting location know that you are cancelling your hire as above, the location may charge your credit or debit card in accordance with the agreement made at the time of confirmation, subject to a maximum amount equal to the value of the hire.

Rental period

You will have the vehicle for the rental period shown in your Reservation Confirmation. If you do not bring the vehicle back on time, or if you do not contact the renting location and get their agreement to an extension of your rental, you are breaking the conditions of this agreement. We can charge you for every day or part-day you have the vehicle after you should have returned it to us. Until we get the vehicle back we will charge you the daily rate specified on the rental agreement when you collect the vehicle.

Rental Agreement

You will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement when you collect your hire vehicle. The terms of the agreement are specific to the renting location and should be read and understood before signing. An overview of the expected terms are as follows but are superceded by the document signed at the renting location.
